After a scandal, she was forced to leave her job at the Salvation Channel. Marion Meach, her obese and filthy-minded boss, has blackmailed her into becoming the warden of his god-forsaken prison in the Everglades. The for-profit prison is automated and has almost no staff, but thanks to government regulation and fines, it’s sinking into the red. The “ratburner” electric chair sets two out of three death-row inmates on fire, and the main prison industry consists of raising and skinning alligators, but Bobbie somehow has to make the place turn a profit. Bobbie may not know anything about prisons, but she knows all about the power of television. Now if she can only survive, she’s going to turn things around, and at the same time pay back Marion Meach in spades.
