It was formed after a bitter staff dispute with publisher Max Scherr split the nationally known Berkeley Barb into new competing underground weeklies. This issue features: Vietnam peace movement, rent strike, local community news, the death of Ernest Pletcher at Greystone, centerspread op-ed piece by detroit annie, Largo Lies and the Little Red Bookstore by Damien, "Americong" about desertion in Vietnam.
