A classic libertine novel, originally published in 1748, which combines a good deal of licentiousness with some interesting criticism, most notably of the French drama of the day. The plot hinges on a magic ring with the ability to make vaginas speak and tell their secrets. This particular volume is published on better-quality paper than most of Miller's publications, and was reprinted in 1968 as THE TALKING PUSSY. APS9512.
