It was formed after a bitter staff dispute with publisher Max Scherr split the nationally known Berkeley Barb into new competing underground weeklies. This issue features: Sisters Strike; Pig Lies Threaten Los Siete; Full page ad for the International Free John Sinclair Day, January 24, 1970; second installment of Jerry Rubin's "Do It"; small article on Napolon's penis; and the Beatles boycott.
