Fourteen issues each 24-32pp., with color covers and interior. 3-D Annual comes with paper glasses This series chronicles the adventures of the only non-super-hero on the planet Levram. Normalman’s father had been a junior CPA on the planet Arnold, and had made the discovery that Arnold was about to explode. Like a good parent (and like Superman’s parents in particular), he placed his son on a rocket and sent it into space in hopes that his son might avoid the destruction of the planet. As it turned out, the planet didn’t blow up after all, but his son drifted for twenty years until he wound up on Levram, a world where literally everyone else is a super-hero of some sort or another. “The Excruciatingly Average Normal Man” was created by Jim Valentino, later known as the creator of ShadowHawk and a co-founder of Image Comics. This truly funny series got laughs by spoofing both the conventions and characters of mainstream comics. Super-heroes were the main targets, but EC and Elfquest comics were also spoofed.
