68pp., including covers [+ 4pp. ad insert bound inside back cover], and illustrated with b/w, duotone and color photos. ANKH: The Journal of the Senses, "a scientific, educational, and sociological publication of the Sex Education Series, dedicated to the wide dissemination of sexual knowledge for the modern inquiring adult," was later published by Centurion Press of Los Angeles; a timeline of issue and volume numbers shows a correspondence. This marks an interesting segue from Elysium's focus on naturism and nudism to the sort of sexual knowledge magazines sprouting up in the early 1970s. Photos of nudists, hippies, and free spirits by Ed Lange, Keith and Iris Bancroft, Leif Heilberg, Bill Rotsler, Russell Gay, etc. Published by Ed Lange, edited by Charles Cropsey. Articles: The Day Love Went on Trial, by Tom Lester.
Ankhs for the Memory (Part 2 of 3), by Cec Cinder. My Dirty Chapter, by Ian MacDuff. Immorality Threatens, by Charles Garrick. A Chronology of Expurgation, Prohibition, Suppression and Seizure of Craetive Works Through the Ages, by Mark Morrison (censorship). Irrationality and the Language of the Law, by Eliot Stetson. Feature: New Living, Bulletin of the Elysium Institute (includes several quotes on censorship; Barry McGuire on Nudity and Sex; Human Sexual Response: A Review of a Review, by Sam Andar; small pic of Diane Webber).
