A "Soho typescript," or "Soho bible" - pornographic fiction, mimeographed from typescript, text printed on one side only, with illustrations (photostats) bound in. Cover is an illustration on photographic paper. Printed clandestinely and sold "under the counter" in pornography's great time-honored tradition. THE KIDNAPPED BRIDE suffers brutal degradation at the hands of masked men, soldiers, and a Senegalese named Abu. First line: "The Silver Wraith purred through the night, the rain slashing across the windscreen being brushed contemptuously aside by the thrashing wipers."
