STRAPS. The Artful Tricks of a Female Flagellant.; A New Edition with New Striking Illustrations.

Philadelphia: The Lashe Press, 1936 [1960s?]. Original wrappers. Light shelfwear. Very good.

Item #4556

9x6 inches. 59pp. Ten full-page illustrations. Limited to 600 copies, and is "sold only to students of the learned profession of psychology" it says here. This work is described as a "psychosexual study" and is credited to 'B.O.P.' Story begins: "I, who write this, am a young female flagellant - the dyed-in-the-wool type of masochist whose only joy in life is to feel the smart, stinging blow of a lash applied to by bare posterior. Call me "perverted," call me "tainted," or what you will, the fact remains that I am embued with a masochist-sadistic complex which demands full satisfaction in almost any form of chastisement." Cover art differs from interiors; feels like a nicely done reprint of an earlier published work.
