n.p. The Odalisque Press, n.d. [c. 1960]. Buff dust wrapper, printed in red, pasted down over cardstock covers. Light shlfwear, else very good.
206pp. A likely piracy of a novel possibly published at Paris in the 1950s; the tone and typography have the look and feel of the works issued by the Olympia Press and its competitors, but this is clearly photo-reproduced. A paper cover with the title, author, and publisher is pasted down over cardstock wrappers that say "Helen and Desire / Frances Lengel." What appears to be the device of Tokyo's Keimeisha publishing house appears on the back. This is not Helen and Desire, however. A DANDY, by P. Murry, was reprinted by Pendulum Books in 1968. So what we have at hand is clearly a work of erotica, and a bit of a mystery as well.
